Happy to see that the Egyptian online video learning platform in Arabic Almentor has raised $10 million in a pre-Series C funding round led by e& capital. e& capital joins existing investors including Africa Next members Partech, Sawari Ventures, Endure Capital and Egypt Ventures and Sango Capital.
Since 2016, almentor has worked with more than 950 mentors to create over 1,000 online courses for individuals, corporations, and government entities. Almentor intends to use the investment to increase its investment in the B2C segment and to expand in Saudi Arabia.

It welcomed participation from Allan Gray, E-Squared Ventures, Fireball Capital, Endeavor Catalyst, 4Di Capital, Endeavor Harvest, Alpha Private Capital, and Africa Next member Kalon Venture Partners.
Founded in 2020, Sendmarc have built a product focusing on go-to-market features. Sendmarc intends to use the investment to increase its sales team across Africa, the U.S., Europe and Latin America.

Happy to see that the Egyptian health tech Yodawy has raised $16 million in a Series B funding round co-led by Africa Next member Global Ventures and Delivery Hero Ventures alongside AAIC Investment, Dallah Al-Baraka, C Ventures and Africa Next members Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP) and P1 Ventures.
Founded in 2018, Yodawy employs a B2B2C model that manage the end-to-end value chain of prescriptions, from how prescriptions are generated digitally on the doctor’s side to how payers process prescriptions. According to co-founder and CEO Karim Khashaba, the health tech startup plans to use the investment to expand across markets in the Middle East and Africa.

Happy to see that the South African proptech marketing platform Flow Living has raised $4.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Futuregrowth Asset Management alongside Endeavor Harvest Fund, Steven Heilbron, Kalon Venture Partners, Vunani Fintech Fund and Buffet Investments.
Founded in 2018, Flow’s API connects to the websites of estate agencies and property developers and automates advertising for them on social media channels like Instagram and Facebook. Flow intends to use the funding to include other social media platforms such as TikTok and LinkedIn and other advertising channels like digital out-of-home billboards.

Happy to see that the Ghanaian e-logistics platform for Africa’s B2B importers and exporters Jetstream has raised $13 million in equity and debt pre-Series A financing.
Africa Next member PROPARCO through its bridge fund, and Cauris provided the debt financing while the equity investors include Africa Next members Octerra and Wuri Ventures alongside Seed9, The MBA Fund, ASCVC, Alitheia IDF and Golden Palm.
Founded in 2018, Jetstream offers a combination of trade financing and logistics to cargo owners. Jetstream will use the funding to expand into new countries and continue to develop its technology platform, which vertically aggregates fragmented logistics and financing vendors in the world of African trade.
