Agrismart produces Rwandan specialty coffee grown by women in Rusizi in the western province of Rwanda. Our delicious Arabica Bourbon cups at 86+.
Our founder, Madeleine Gasangwa, is a Rwandan woman who started Agrismart with her husband, Irénée Kamanzi, in 2018. Her aim is to empower Rwandan women farmers through coffee.
Agrismart works with 500 women farmers across 40 hectares of rich volcanic soils on the shores of Lake Kivu. Bordering the Nyungwe forest national park, the largest protected rainforest in Central Africa.
This is the perfect microclimate for growing specialty Arabica. The cool, wet climate rising 1,700-2,000m above sea level gives our coffee its unique profile of vanilla, chocolate and spice.
Our single origin Bourbon has a creamy body, with citrus, acidic overtones. Its clean, well-balanced, lemony finish and complex fruit aromas brings the flavours of Africa into your cup.
We sell fully processed green beans and roasted coffee, both locally and exported.
Agrismart is also keen to encourage the domestic consumption of Rwandan specialty coffee.
